It’s Black History Month!

1976, every state began celebrating black history in the month of February. It all began with Negro History Week in 1926. In the words of President Ford, we use this month to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” We want to highlight not only our accomplishments, but also our obstacles we faced to get here.

Take sometime today and this month to educate yourself on our history!
