Starting with Ann Lowe. Ann was an Alabama woman who made dresses for women like Jackie O and Olivia de Havilland. She often didn’t get the credit she deserved, so we’re acknowledging her today.
One thing about her that really intrigued us was that, in 1917 she enrolled in S.T. Taylor Design School, which hadn't realized they'd admitted a Black woman. She attended classes in a room by herself.
Thank you Ann Lowe!
